1928 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Sport 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300



The Alfa Romeo 6C name was used road, race and sports cars by Alfa Romeo between 1925-1954. 6C refers directly to a motor 6. Bodies of these cars were made by coachbuilders as James Young, Zagato, Touring, Castagna, and Pininfarina. From 1933 there was also a 6C version with a factory Alfa body, built in Portello.

In mid-1920, Alfa Romeo RL was too big and heavy, so he started a new development. The Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 was introduced in 1925 in Milan, began production in 1927, with the P2 Grand Prix car as a starting point. 1487 cc engine capacity now, against the Alfa Romeo P2, 1987 cc, while decreasing pressure. Early versions were Young physically and Touring.

In 1928, an Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 was released on Sport, with double overhead camshaft engine. His version of the sport have won many races, including the 1928 Mille Miglia. Total production was 3000 (200 DOHC engine). Ten copies of a supercharged (compressor, compressor) Super Sport variant also made.
