Chili con carne

1. The chili con carne is the official dish of Texas.
2. Texas has two chiles "national", jalapeno and chiltepin. Both are used in preparing the dish: chili con carne.
3. The first historical record of the dish refers to the people of San Antonio.
4. Popularly accepted that the target was introduced in the Canary Islands by migrants who came to the area now known as San Antonio in 1731, when Texas was a English province.
5. One of the oldest recentes chili known is the following: chili peppers, oregano, garlic and cumin (brought to Texas for the canaries). Everything simmer together for any type of meat (from serpiente de cascabel, armadillo, búfalo...) y a disfrutar.
